PRESS RELEASE RACING ENGINEERING

Racing Engineering’s Valencia race preview

After the summer break Spanish Formula 3 celebrates it’s fifth round at the Circuit of Valencia on the 11th and 12th of September. Racing Engineering’s drivers Borja Garcia, Steven Kane and Maria de Villota conducted a shake down at the end of August at the Circuit of Jerez and are very keen to get into their cars under racing conditions again.

Racing Engineering’s championship leader, Borja Garcia, is very optimistic about the race weekend on his home track and aims for the top of the podium again. Borja, who knows the track like few other drivers in the field, definitely wants to increase the gap to his competitors in the overall standings.

Steven Kane is another driver in the Racing Engineering outfit following the same goal and like this good racing is guaranteed! Steven currently holds the third position in the overall standings of the Spanish Formula 3 Championship and given his ambitions, everybody at Racing Engineering knows that he will give everything he has to win again.

Maria de Villota, the woman driving Racing Engineering’s car number three, is eager to race again after the break between Estoril and Valencia and wants to underline her permanently increasing performance. Not always lucky during the races held so far, Maria’s goal is clear; to be on the podium in Valencia.

Alfonso de Orleans, Racing Engineering’s president, is also impatient to see his drivers on the track again and said, “I think Valencia will be a very crucial race weekend for the championship title. Borja, Steven and Manuel Giao are very close in the championship and I am sure that all three have the same goal – win in Valencia. I am confident since our guys have done a good job during the summer and the results of the test in Jerez were very convincing. Maria is the perfect example, I hope that she can finally show what she is capable of, as she really had to face a lot of bad luck so far. If she doesn’t get pushed off the track again, then I am convinced that she can make it to the podium. She definitely has the speed.”
